Jonathan Roque is the senior Pastor of the Damascus Christian Church of Hunts Point in the Bronx. Jonathan received Christ in his life at the age of 4 years old. Accepting Jesus radically changed the course of his life. Jonathan received a calling from God in his early 20’s to pastor an established church in the Bronx. He attributes his spiritual formation to Rev. Enrique A. Melendez, Rev. Dr. Angel M. Rios and the Council of Damascus Christian Churches.
Jonathan has a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Nyack College. He also completed a Master of Arts degree in Urban Missions from Westminster Theological Seminary. Pastor Jonathan is passionate about seeing people come to a relationship with Jesus Christ. He has devoted his life to the pastoral ministry and building a multi-ethnic church in the Bronx.
Pastor Jonathan has been married for over 25 years to Rev. Sonia Roque and has three children, Jonathan David, Brandon James and Imari Alyssa. They all serve along side him in the ministry at the Damascus Christian Church of Hunts Point.
Pastor Jonathan is also the presiding Bishop of the Council of Damascus Christian Churches with churches in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Costa Rica and Guatemala.
